Vispy Kharadi, a multiple Guinness World Record holder and one of the country’s most well-known martial arts practitioners, has once again rewritten the record books with not one, but three Guinness World Records. Vispy broke an 11-year-old Guinness World Record at the Sarsana dome in Surat on Wednesday, as well as setting two new world records.
Vispy set three more Guinness World Records in a single day today, adding to his existing seven Guinness World Records for difficult and possibly risky exploits.
The first world record was set when 84 beverage cans were crushed with hands in one minute. Muhamed Kahrimanovic held the previous Guinness World Record after crushing 74 cans with his hands in a minute in 2011.
The second Guinness World Record was for the most concrete blocks broken in one minute. The record bid required breaking at least 51 concrete blocks of the density and size as prescribed by the Guinness Book of World Records using the elbow. Vispy sailed through the record bid.
The third Guinness World Record concerned the largest concrete blocks that could be smashed on a sandwich of nails. Vispy had to be encased in a bed of nails for the record bid. Then, a 525-kg block was placed over him and cracked with a hammer by Sahil Khan, a hero of youth and fitness. There was no time constraint on the risky stunt. It is significant that the other two records, with the exception of the record for crushing drink cans, have never been tried before. The stunt was approved by the Guinness Book of World Records due to Vispy’s physical toughness.
After setting the three new world records, Vispy expressed his gratitude to Hiren Desai, the owner of Divine Nutrition, Faruk Patel, the CMD of KP Group, and Sahil Khan. Vispy was given the honorary title of Steelman of India by the three dignitaries.
