The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport in Ahmedabad plans to build a third terminal to handle the increasing number of travellers. According to those familiar with the project, the facility will cater to domestic travellers.
The municipal airport is already undergoing renovation and expansion to improve passenger amenities and reduce turnaround times for transiting passengers.
“Two years later, a new terminal is required to meet the increased passenger footfall. To provide better connectivity and smooth transition, a new terminal for domestic passengers is a natural extension to the current renovation and expansion plans,”.
