To ensure that passengers travelling from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport have a quiet, noise-free environment, the airport management has canceled airport announcements beginning August 1.
All flight information will now be available on the airport’s 100-plus information displays.
“Everyday thousands of passengers travel through the Ahmedabad airport, for which till now announcements about flight schedules were made due to which the passengers were unable to experience a silent environment.
To ensure this, announcements on loudspeakers have been stopped to make the airport silent.”
Passengers can now get details about flights on some 100 digital information screens set up in the premises at the check-in counter, waiting lounge, security hold area, among others.
Airport staff will provide all the details to passengers about their flights.
