The heat continues to grapple in Ahmedabad, as the city on Monday recorded the maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius.
Apart from Ahmedabad, Deesa registered a maximum temperature of 40.6 degrees Celsius, Rajkot recorded 40.2 degrees Celsius and Vadodara registered a maximum temperature of 39.4 degrees Celsius, Bhuj recorded 36.6 degrees C while Surat recorded a maximum temperature of 31.8 degrees Celsius
Ahmedabad had the highest maximum temperature in the region.
As per the prediction by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Light to moderate rain/ thundershowers very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Surat, Tapi, Valsad, Navsari, Dang and in Daman & Dadra Nagar Haveli; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Amreli and Gir Somnath from Thursday, June 9.
As per the IMD’s forecast, Dry weather very likely in all the districts of Gujarat region, Saurashtra-Kutch and in Diu, Daman & Dadra Nagar Haveli.
No heat wave warnings issued for Gujarat.
