The death of iconic singer KK (Krishnakumar Kunnath), has been a shock for all the music lovers and the world. Now Kolkata Police Department has registered a case as an unnatural death.
After returning from a gig in Kolkata on Tuesday, May 31, the singer fainted at the Grand Hotel, which is located near the New Market police station, and was brought to a private hospital in the city, where he was declared dead.
According to police his face and head were injured. On Wednesday, an autopsy will be performed at SSKM Hospital in Kolkata to determine the cause of death.
After the postmortem, KK’s mortal remains will be handed over to his family. An investigation into the matter is currently underway. The investigators are currently awaiting the preliminary postmortem report.
Many social media users complained of improper management, poor ventilation system during the concert, many videos are doing round on social media where KK is heard complaining about the poor ventilation system.
The police will now examine the Grand Hotel’s CCTV footage and speak with hotel workers and event organisers.
