The airport authorities at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) have completed the runway re-carpeting work in record time, well ahead of the May 31 deadline, and normal domestic flight operations are scheduled to resume today.
The number of daily flights is expected to reach 200 by April 25, with most airlines returning to normal operations within a week.

Between April 18 and April 25, new routes such as Ahmedabad to Shirdi and Ahmedabad to Bagdogra are set to begin. Flights to Dehradun and Goa will also begin during this time period.
The resumption of normal flight operations on major routes to Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata will increase the daily frequency of flights from Ahmedabad’s Char Dham, Kashmir, and HP popular destinations to 200.
