Gujarat Titans have released their anthem song ahead of their first season in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The song has been named “Aava De”, a Gujarati slang that means ‘bring it on’.
The official video song features the players at Ahmedabad’s magnificent Narendra Modi Stadium, the team’s home ground.
To represent Gujarat’s rich culture, the anthem, composed by Dub Sharma and sung by the very popular folk singer Aditya Gadhvi, also includes parts of the Rann of Kutch, the kite-flying festival known as Uttarayan, and the lanes of small cities.
Some of the faces in the video include skipper Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Wriddhiman Saha, and Rahul Tewatia.
The anthem was first shared by Gujarat Titans on their official YouTube page titled ‘Aapdu Pehlu Anthem’ meaning ‘Our First Anthem’, as they wrote: “C’mon, c’mon everybody say – Aava De, Aava De! Anthem pe chalna chahiye, #TitansFAM!”
The Titans have put together a strong team and will be making a massive entry in this year’s cash-rich event. GT recently unveiled their jersey in a grand ceremony at the newly constructed Motera Stadium.
On Monday, March 28, the Titans will face their fellow debutants, the Lucknow Super Giants, led by KL Rahul, in what will be both teams’ first game on the big stage at Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium.
