With a drastic fall in Covid-19 cases, the Gujarat government has decided to lift the night curfew in Ahmedabad and Vadodara beginning on Friday, February 25.
Until now, these were the only two cities in the state where a curfew was in effect between 12 a.m. and 5 a.m.
There will be no restrictions on movement in these two cities beginning Friday, even at night.
Certain restrictions on social, political, cultural, and religious gatherings and activities, however, will remain in place. The government will continue to impose a 50% occupancy limit for such gatherings.
Meanwhile, gatherings in open areas will be permitted up to 75% of the arena’s capacity.
Other Covid policies, such as wearing face masks, social distancing, and spitting in public, will remain in effect.
