The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) established the Centre for Futuristic Defense Studies (CFDS) to develop state-of-the-art drone technology in order to strengthen the country’s air defence system.
With a rising number of drone attacks and foreign drones discovered within the country’s borders, high-tech drones and field professionals are required. This is the reason and goal for launching CFDS at NFSU, according to the university’s Chancellor.
He also informed that CFDS will be a Centre for training experts in high-tech drone technology as well.
Abu Dhabi recently experienced a drone attack at its international airport, which resulted in some casualties. In addition, a foreign drone was spotted near Abdasa in Gujarat in February 2019, followed by a hexacopter in Mohawa village in Punjab in August 2019. In June 2021, a drone was also intercepted by the Jammu Air Force facility.
