Pavagadh Parikrama Samiti started the Pavagadh Parikrama in the year 2016. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, it was only attended by a small number of devotees in the last two years. The 44 km parikrama lasts two days.
It is the only registered parikrama in the state. It begins at the Vagheshwari mata mandir and travels through Taplavav, Tajpura, Kedareshwar mahadev, Khuneshwar mahadev, and returns to the Vagheshwari mandir. It will begin on January 2, 2022, at Magashar Vad Amas.
The Dharma Jagaran Vibhag will participate. The parikrama requires online registration.
It was originally established around 825 years ago by Vishwamitra Rushi. It is also known as Vishwamaitri Padyatra. It is also believed that the parikrama is equivalent to the parikrama of Shri Yantra as the shape of Pavagadh hill resembles Shri Yantra.
