The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) School Board has listed 100 schools where Bhagwad Gita shlokas will be displayed on walls.
“The idea is to spread the message of the Bhagwad Gita to students so they can live a life free of fear and malice,” said LD Desai, AMC School Board administrator. There are 25 English medium schools and the rest are Gujarati medium schools among the 100 schools identified.
About 20 different shlokas will be displayed on the walls, each with a brief explanation. The AMC School Board oversees approximately 440 schools, with plans to expand the number of schools included in this plan. The board has also designated seven locations where posters of late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and his messages will be displayed.
