VGGS : Pitching event for startups to be held on Jan 9

The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2022 will host a daylong pre-summit event for startups called ‘The Bowling Alley’ on the campus of iCreate in Ahmedabad on January 9 in collaboration with Startup India, DPIIT, iHub, iCreate, GUSEC, and GVFL.

The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, organised by the Gujarat government, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will take place from January 10 to 12 in Gandhinagar.

The Bowling Alley is a one-day pitching event for startups looking to showcase their business plans and models to the investor community. GVFL has invited major investors from across the country to participate in the event both physically and virtually.

Bessemer Venture Partners, Trifecta Capital, Unicorn India Ventures, Equanimity Investments, GVFL Ltd, Venture Catalyst, 9 Unicorns, 100X VC, and Sixth Sense Ventures are among the major investors who have already confirmed their participation.

All startup entrepreneurs from Gujarat are invited to pitch their business plans to investors at the GVFL. This event is open to startups with unique and scalable business models that use technology as a differentiator. Biotechnology, agri-technology, education technology, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and defence technology will be among the sub-categories covered in the sessions.

The central theme of VGGS is to represent the commitments of ‘Aatmanirbhar Gujarat to Aatmanirbhar Bharat.’

To commemorate India’s 75th year of independence in 2022, the Prime Minister’s vision is for the country to have 75 unicorn startups. To effectively achieve this vision, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal established the National Startup Advisory Council (NSAC).
