Forest department in action: Illegal lion show case in Devlia range of Junagadh, Gujarat

A video of a live lion show held illegally on a private farm in Mendarda’s Gundayali village, which is part of the Gir forest’s Devlia range, recently went popular on social media. The Forest Service has issued summonses to 18 of the case’s suspects.

The A.F.O. had also requested to be present. The possibility of the suspects being arrested has increased as a result of their statements.

The forest department has  taken action and  filed a complaint against 12 unidentified individuals in this matter, and an investigation is underway. The Forest Department investigated the location where the illegal lion display took place. In which it was discovered that this private property was owned by a private individual.

Based on the people shown in the viral video, the RFO of Maliya, which is investigating the incident, has summoned a total of 18 suspects to appear.

When the suspects appear today, his statements will be taken. The possibility of the accused’s imprisonment being extended has been mentioned. According to authorities, the owner of the private property will be recognised in the following days.
