Ahmedabad: More than three crore people in Gujarat are now fully vaccinated against Covid-19, only the third state in the country to achieve the landmark.

According to Co-WIN data, the number of people who have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in Gujarat crossed three crore on Tuesday afternoon. At 8:00 pm, the number of fully vaccinated recipients was 3.01 crore, or 61% of the eligible population of 4.93 crore. Gujarat has administered 7.53 crore vaccine doses, including 4.51 crore who have received at least one dose.

Gujarat is only the third state to have fully vaccinated three crore or more people. Leading the pack is Uttar Pradesh, which has administered both doses to 3.98 crore people and at least one dose to 10.29 crore. The country’s most populous state had administered 14.28 crore doses.

Maharashtra has administered 10.40 crore doses so far, including both doses to 3.42 crore people and at least one dose to 6.98 crore people.
