Indian Institute of Technology, Gujarat University- only state university to figure in the top 50 rank has also climbed the ladder up by one rank – to 43 rank in Universities category while it slipped two spots- at 62 this year.

City based St Xavier’s College has secured 57 rank this year, two spots higher compared to last year. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Ahmedabad secured 10 positions, two points down from 8th rank last year.

This year, the ministry of education’s survey covered 11 categories with the ‘research’ category included for the first time. IIT-Gandhinagar secured 39th rank in the category.
