The Ahmedabad Collector’s Office on Wednesday heard 501 cases related to land sales, wills, and property inheritance, as part of an ongoing campaign to fast-track long-pending matters.
Launched two months ago, the campaign aims to resolve cases—especially those involving land titles—that have been pending for years and have hindered property transactions. Each hearing has seen over 100 cases addressed, significantly accelerating the resolution process.
On June 21, 648 cases were heard, followed by 501 on July 16. Thanks to the initiative, no case older than six months remains pending, and even applications filed as recently as January 2025 have been taken up.
Over the past six months, while 680 new cases were registered, the office managed to dispose of 1,087 pending cases. Additionally, 323 injunction applications were resolved, leading to a total of 1,410 orders being issued within a short span.
