The Gujarat government on Monday appointed senior IAS officer Sanjay Kaul as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of GIFT City Company Ltd in Gandhinagar.A 2001-batch officer from the Kerala cadre, Kaul will take charge on deputation for a period of three years or until further orders. He will succeed Tapan Ray in the role.Kaul, who is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, brings significant administrative experience. Originally from Gujarat, he has previously held key positions including MD of the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd and Kerala Tourism Corporation.
