Starting July 7, 2025, the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK-1) in Mithakali, Ahmedabad, has been shifted to a new location at White House, Bapunagar.
Applicants with appointments scheduled on or after this date are advised to visit the new Bapunagar centre at their assigned time. In an official statement, the Regional Passport Office, Ahmedabad, under the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), confirmed the relocation and commencement of services at the Bapunagar centre from July 7.
“All applicants who have scheduled their appointments on or after July 7 at PSK-1 (Mithakali) are requested to report to the Bapunagar Passport Seva Kendra as per the date and time mentioned in their application receipt,” the statement added.
According to a media report, that 600 appointments were booked on the first day of operations at the new center. The Bapunagar PSK houses 36 counters across three wings and offers modern facilities such as an online appointment system, fingerprint and document verification, seating arrangements, and drinking water for applicants.
A trial run with applicants was conducted on Sunday before the official opening. With enhanced infrastructure, the Bapunagar center is expected to handle over 800 applications per day in the coming days.
The shift aims to better serve residents in East Ahmedabad, who previously had to travel to Mithakali for their passport services.
Now, Ahmedabad has two operational Passport Seva Kendras: one at Vijay Crossroads for applicants from the western part of the city, and the newly launched one in Bapunagar for the eastern region.
