Indian Railways has brought good news for pilgrims who wish to have darshan of religious places associated with Lord Ram. The PSU of Indian Railways, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), is going to operate the Ramayana Yatra train from Ayodhya to Rameshwaram on the upcoming 25th July.
Under this journey starting from Delhi’s Safdarjung station, pilgrims will get the opportunity to visit places associated with Lord Ram from Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Shringverpur, Nashik, Hampi up to Rameshwaram and have darshan of Lord Shri Ram.
This Ramayana Yatra will be of 16 nights/17 days. The first stop of the train will be Ayodhya, where pilgrims will get the opportunity to see Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi and Ram ki Paidi. After this, there will be darshan of Bharat-Hanuman Temple and Bharat Kund in Nandigram, Ram-Janaki Temple, Dhanush Dham Temple and Parashuram Kund in Janakpur (in Nepal), Janaki Temple and Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi (Bihar), Ram Rekha Ghat, Rameshwar Nath Temple in Buxar, Tulsi Manas Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Ganga Aarti in Varanasi.
After this, the Ramayana Yatra train will proceed towards Sitamarhi (Uttar Pradesh), where there will be darshan of Sita Samahit Sthal (Sita Mata Temple). From here, the train will go to Prayagraj, where there will be an opportunity to see Triveni Sangam, Hanuman Temple and Bharadwaj Ashram. Proceeding further, the train will reach Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Nashik, Panchvati, Hampi and finally Rameshwaram.
At these places, pilgrims will get to see Shring Rishi Temple, Gupt Godavari, Ram Ghat, Sati Anusuya Temple, Trimbakeshwar Temple, Sita Gufa and Kalaram Temple, Anjanadri Hill, Virupaksha Temple, Vittal Temple, Ramanathaswamy Temple and Dhanushkodi respectively. During the journey, tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner (vegetarian) will be provided on the train.
