Heavy rainfall has led to the partial submersion of the Tadkeshwar Mahadev Temple in Chikhli, located in Gujarat’s Navsari district.
According to a media report, the temple, situated along the banks of the Kaveri River, is facing rising water levels due to continuous downpours in the region. Authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation, particularly in low-lying areas, where the risk of flooding remains high. Residents have been urged to stay away from the riverbanks and remain alert as efforts continue to ensure public safety and protect the historic temple.
Meanwhile, Surat and nearby regions are also grappling with a flood-like situation after being hit by torrential rains for the second straight day. The heavy rainfall has thrown daily life into disarray, with waterlogging in several low-lying areas, emergency evacuations underway, and schools shut across the city.
