A fire broke out at the barrel market near Ahmedabad’s Chandola Lake on Wednesday morning, prompting a quick response from the city’s fire and emergency services. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.
According to a media report, the blaze was reported around 8 am, after which five fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Teams from the Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) managed to bring the fire under control swiftly.
“We received the alert and immediately dispatched our units. The fire was contained efficiently,” said a senior fire officer. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, though initial reports suggest it may have started from materials stored at the site.
While the incident caused concern, timely action helped prevent any major damage or harm to life.
