The written exam for the Lok Rakshak (constable) post was held on Sunday at multiple centres in Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Anand, and Gandhinagar.
Out of 2,47,804 registered candidates, 2,37,372 appeared for the exam, recording a high attendance of 95.8%. Four cases of malpractice were reported, and legal action has been taken against those involved.
Ahmedabad police helped a candidate with a fractured leg reach the exam centre safely. The 108 emergency service was also used to provide medical help to candidates when needed. Authorities arranged accommodation for candidates coming from other places along with their families.
The police and education departments worked together to deliver exam materials on time, ensuring smooth conduct of the exam. Their efforts have been widely praised.
