At the end of the fourth phase of the first admission round under the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS), only 60.23% of students have confirmed their admission through the portal.
Out of 2,10,358 registered students, only 1,26,693 have confirmed their admission at the 15 public universities in Gujarat.
According to officials from the Gujarat education department, the second round of admissions started on June 13. In this round, students will be able to make changes in their online admission forms.
“In the first phase, 2,10,358 verified students were given admission offers by the universities and colleges. Out of these, 1,26,693 students confirmed their admission by June 12. This means about 60.23% of students confirmed their admission through the portal,” an education department official said.
There are over 4 lakh seats available across the 15 public universities in the state.
