Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) has signed an agreement with the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), Government of India. This will help GMU use its academic knowledge to assist DGS in handling legal and operational issues, improving efficiency, and following global standards. The agreement was signed by Shyam Jagannathan, Director General of Shipping, and Prof. (Dr.) S Shanthakumar, Provost of GMU, in the presence of senior DGS officials and GMU faculty members.
