Starting from the academic year 2025-26, Gujarat Vidyapith will offer the Chancellor’s Scholarship to 100 top-performing undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The announcement was made after Gujarat Governor and Chancellor of the university, Acharya Devvrat, launched the logo for the new student benefit scheme named “Kushal” during the National Unity Camp of the National Service Scheme (NSS) on Saturday.
The aim of the Kushal Scheme is to support and motivate talented students at Gujarat Vidyapith. An annual budget of ₹10 lakh has been set aside for this scholarship. The decision was approved during a board meeting at Gurukul Kurukshetra on March 21 to boost education and research activities at the university.
Currently, Gujarat Vidyapith is hosting a week-long National Integration Camp (NIC) in partnership with NSS. Around 250 participants—including students and officers—from 12 states are attending.
The camp includes youth from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Assam, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Its main purpose is to promote national unity, cultural harmony, social bonding, and a shared national vision among the youth.
