Three people died in separate road accidents in Ahmedabad and surrounding rural areas on Thursday.
In the first incident, 29-year-old Rituraj Gupta from Gandhinagar lost his life after his Harley Davidson bike crashed near the Gota Bridge on SG Highway. Gupta, a cyber security student, was on his way to work when he lost control, hit the divider, and then crashed into an electric pole. He died on the spot due to serious head and body injuries. Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
The second accident happened on the Changodar-Moraiya Bridge, where a speeding BMW crashed into a brick-loaded trailer truck. The truck driver, Vishnu Khatana from Surendranagar, was going from Morbi to Himmatnagar. The crash was so strong that it pushed the truck about 50 feet. Two men and two women in the BMW were badly injured, and one woman was declared dead at the scene.
In the third case, 27-year-old Prakash Lagdaniya from Sanand died when his bike collided with a trailer. He was travelling with his friend Raju from Bavla to Sanand. Lagdaniya died on the spot, while Raju suffered injuries.
