Viral Ahead of RCB vs PBKS Final IPL

As Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) gear up for the IPL 2025 final, Durex India released a bold promotional post that has quickly gone viral. The ad, shared just hours before the match, features a red background with two lion silhouettes — a nod to the teams’ mascots — alongside the cheeky caption: “18 years. 2 virgins. Who will get lucky tonight?”

The condom brand’s bold post went viral hours before the much-anticipated final, perfectly capturing the sentiment of cricket fans across the country.

Both RCB and PBKS, despite being part of the Indian Premier League since its inception in 2008, have never clinched the prestigious trophy. Their prolonged wait for IPL glory has earned them the tag of “virgins” of the tournament — a pun Durex smartly tapped into.

The post, shared on Tuesday, recorded a perfect timing and playfulness.

The brand creatively fused sport, humour, and its own identity in a punchy Instagram post that amused many cricket fans.

Regardless of who lifts the trophy, one thing’s for sure — Durex has already won the internet. The proof lies in the comments.

“Does that mean, CSK and Mumbai lost their virginity 5 times even before legal age?”, one quipped.

“Give the marketing person here a medal,” another commented.

Reactions also saw netizens cheering for their IPL team.

“RCB will pop the champagne,” one wrote.

“Punjab !!! And @durex.india all the way”, said another user.
