Gujarat’s Health Department has issued guidelines for all state government officers, employees, and pensioners to get benefits under the PMJAY scheme.
In which ‘Gujarat Karmayogi Swasth Suraksha Yojana’ has been launched for All India Services (AIS) officers, state government officers, employees and pensioners in the state. Under this scheme, all employees will get cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh per family through ‘G’ category card under the PMJAY scheme. The allocation of PMJAY scheme cards has been entrusted to the State Health Agency (SHA).
A certificate showing the details of the employees and their family members eligible under the Gujarat State Service (Medical Treatment) Rules will have to be submitted, where the head of the respective office will have to issue a certificate in the prescribed format, including Aadhaar number of each family member for E-KYC.
If a fixed-salary government employee leaves the job without a formal appointment, resigns, faces disciplinary action, or leaves for any reason that doesn’t qualify them for a pension, they won’t be considered a pensioner. In such cases, the head of their last office must inform the State Health Agency (SHA). Then, the SHA will remove the employee and their family from the PMJAY beneficiary list.
