Gujarat saw 183 new COVID-19 cases in the last 10 days, placing it 4th in the country.
The total cases have reached 190, with Ahmedabad reporting the most at 131 cases.
According to report, 131 active COVID-19 cases in Ahmedabad, 15 in Rajkot, 10 in Jamnagar, 6 in Mehsana, 5 in Gandhinagar, 4 in Bhavnagar, 3 in Kutch, 2 each in Banaskantha and Kheda, and 1 new case each in Anand, Bharuch, Patan, and Valsad.
On May 19, the COVID-positive count in Gujarat was just 7. However, in the last 10 days, the number of COVID-positive cases has increased by around 183. Testing is currently underway to determine which variant is responsible for the infections. So far, only one patient has been officially found to have a new variant.
Most COVID-19 patients in Gujarat are being treated at home. Doctors say the situation is under control, and there is no need to worry.
Gujarat ranks fourth in India for active COVID-19 cases, after Kerala (430), Maharashtra (209), and Delhi (104).
