As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), 31 districts in Gujarat have experienced heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours.
In Amreli district, continuous rainfall has persisted for the second consecutive day, leading to severe waterlogging across the region. In Savarkundla, water has flooded roads and fields, leaving farmers devastated as their crops have been washed away by the relentless downpour.
Villages like Gadhkada, Savarkundla, Bagasara, Jafarabad, Khambha Nesdi, Nanudi, and Umariya witnessed unseasonal rain. While the rainfall brought temporary relief from the intense heat and humidity, it has resulted in significant agricultural losse like widespread damage to crops such as sesame (til), bajra (millet), and onions.
