Ahmedabad’s National Institute of Design (NID) has called off its collaboration with Bangladesh’s Pathshala South Asian Media Institute. The institute said the decision to end the MoU was taken in view of “national priorities.” The two institutes had been working together for a few years, engaging in joint academic activities and exchanges.
“In view of the current situation and in the paramount interest of national priorities, NID–Ahmedabad has decided to take a firm stand. In solidarity with national sentiment as well as in alignment with its ethical framework, the institute has processed termination of the collaborative agreement signed between the NID-Ahmedabad and Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, Dhaka,” an official communication from the institute stated.
“NID Ahmedabad remains committed to prioritising national interests …,” it stated.AM
