The CBSE announced the Class 12 results on Tuesday, with Gujarat achieving an overall pass percentage of 92.96% across all three streams Science, Commerce, and Humanities.
Out of 32,649 students from 422 schools and 171 exam centres in Gujarat, 30,392 successfully passed the exams.
Girls outperformed boys in the state with a pass percentage of 94.79%. Of the total 14,122 girl students from the state who appeared for the exam, 13,386 cleared it. Boys recorded a pass percentage of 91.57% with 17,006 of the 18,572 who appeared for the exams clearing it.
Gujarat is part of CBSE’s Ajmer region, which recorded a pass percentage of 90.40%. In terms of pass percentage, Gujarat lagged behind other states like Telangana (99.73%), Tamil Nadu (98.48%), Kerala (99.32%), Jammu and Kashmir (94.75%), Goa (98.06%) and Lakshadweep (100%) among others.
The overall pass percentage at the national level went up by 0.41% in 2025 compared to last year. Of 16,21,224 students who appeared for the Class 12 exam last year, 14,26,420 students (87.98%) cleared it. This year, 16,92,794 students appeared for the exam and 14,96,307 cleared it, taking the pass percentage to 88.39%.
