The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has recorded its highest Class 10 pass rate in 32 years, with 83.08% of students clearing the exam.
Out of 7,46,892 students who appeared, 6,20,532 passed. Like last year, girls performed better than boys. The pass rate for girls was 87.24%, while for boys it was 79.56%. In total, 3,22,013 boys and 2,98,519 girls passed the exams.
Furthermore, the number of schools with a 100% pass rate in Class 10 Boards rose from 1,389 in 2024 to 1,574 in 2025. In contrast, the number of schools with a pass rate of 0% decreased from 70 to 45 this year.
Among the districts in Gujarat, Banaskantha recorded the highest pass percentage at 89.29%, while Kheda had the lowest pass percentage at 72.55 %. Kansa examination centre in Mehsana district and Bholad centre in Bhavnagar recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.11%, while Ambav exam centre in Kheda had the lowest pass percentage at 29.56% in the state.
In addition, 28,055 students achieved A1 grades with marks ranging from 91 to 100, while 86,459 students achieved A2 grades with marks in the 81 to 90 range. Moreover, 1,24,274 students achieved B1 grades and 1,52,084 students secured B2 grades.
As for medium-wise performance, English-medium students recorded a pass percentage of 92.58%, followed by Gujarati (81.79%), Hindi (76.47%), Marathi(77.61%), Urdu(80.99%), and Odia medium (88.28%).
Notably, 4,165 specially-abled students registered for the Class 10 Board exams, of which 3,879 appeared for it while 1,580 cleared it.
The Class 10 Board exams this year saw 150 cases of misconduct, of which 12 were reported, and 138 cases registered based on CCTV footage.

He also credited his school teachers for his success: “My teachers were very supportive and were always available to clear my doubts, even outside regular school hours.” He plans to take up Commerce in Class 11 and become a CA eventually.

“This was my first board exam, and my family had high expectations of me and so there was a bit of pressure. However, thanks to the support of my parents and teachers, I scored well.” She credits her father, who works as a peon in the same school, as a constant source of motivation and encouragement throughout her academic journey. “I plan to pursue Science in Class 11 and build a career in IT.”

“Initially, I was not worried about the exam, but as it approached, it became stressful. However, I remained calm as I had begun my preparation well in advance and followed a timetable.” She admitted that there were demotivating moments, but her parents’ constant support and encouragement helped her overcome the same. She also cycled to destress. “I plan to pursue Science in Class 11 and prepare for the NEET examination to pursue my dream of making a career in medicine.”
