Telangana is gearing up to host the 72nd Miss World Festival from May 7 to 31, 2025. More than 100 contestants from around the world will gather in Hyderabad for a month-long celebration of beauty, culture, and meaningful purpose.
The festival will begin with grand traditional welcomes at Hyderabad airport, followed by a spectacular opening ceremony on May 10 at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, showcasing vibrant folk and tribal performances. Contestants will then tour iconic sites such as Charminar, Laad Bazaar, Chowmahalla Palace, Warangal Fort, and the Ramappa Temple. They’ll also visit Pochampally to experience Telangana’s rich handloom heritage firsthand.
Throughout the month, participants will take part in talent and fashion showcases, spiritual journeys, art workshops, and interactive sessions with entrepreneurs and designers. Key events such as the Miss World Sports Finale, Top Model competition, and the Beauty With Purpose Gala will be hosted at major venues like HITEX and Shilpakala Vedika.
Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood will be honoured with a prestigious Humanitarian Award and will also serve as a judge at the Grand Finale. Representing the host country, Miss India Nandini Gupta will compete on home soil.
The festival will conclude on May 31 with the Grand Coronation Gala at HITEX, followed by a formal celebration on Telangana Formation Day, June 2, where winners will meet the state’s leadership.
With its blend of world-class hospitality, rich heritage, and modern charm, Telangana is all set to make Miss World 2025 a truly unforgettable experience.
