The Gujarat Super League (GSL) is set to return for its second season, scheduled from May 1 to May 13, 2025, at the Eka Football Ground, TransStadia, near Kankaria.
The Gujarat State Football Association (GSFA) on Friday formally announced the tournament at an event where GSFA president Parimal Nathwani unveiled the official trophy and team jerseys.
Six franchise teams-Ahmedabad Avengers, Gandhinagar Giants, Karnavati Knights, Saurashtra Spartans, Surat Strikers, and Vadodara Warriors-will vie for the title in what promises to be a bigger and better edition of the GSL.
Nathwani said,at the event.”It gives me immense pleasure to witness the GSL entering its second season. I express my sincere appreciation to all the team owners for their continued dedication and investment in the growth of franchise-based football in Gujarat”.
GSFA Secretary Mulrajsinh Chudasama expressed optimism about a stronger public response in the second season.
This year’s league will feature an elevated level of competition, with out-of-state players who have competed in top-tier tournaments such as the I-League and Santosh Trophy. To engage younger fans, the GSFA has announced free entry for students under 18 and their parents.
