The UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 results mark the end of a demanding selection process, which began with the written exam in September 2024 and concluded with interviews held between January and April 2025.

The official result, shared by the Press Information Bureau, features a list of 1,009 candidates who have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’. Shakti Dubey has secured the top rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, followed by Harshita Goyal at Rank 2 and Dongre Archit Parag at Rank 3. A consolidated reserve list of 230 candidates has also been maintained, in accordance with Rule 20(4) and (5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules, 2024.

Out of the 1,009 candidates selected, 335 belong to the General category, 109 to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 318 to Other Backward Classes (OBC), 160 to Scheduled Castes (SC), and 87 to Scheduled Tribes (ST). Among them, 45 candidates have benchmark disabilities across four categories.

The UPSC has stated that the candidature of 241 recommended candidates is provisional, while the result of one candidate has been withheld. The government has reported 1,129 vacancies across various services, including 50 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). Appointments will be made based on the availability of vacancies and in line with the relevant service rules. The UPSC has also set up provisions for candidates to receive further information through its Facilitation Counter and official website.
