Two killed, seven injured as private bus crashes into truck on highway in Gujarat’s Vadodara early Monday, say police.
The accident took place around 3:30 am on a national highway near Vadodara, police said. According to an official from Harni police station, the bus, which had departed from Surat at around 11 pm and was en route to Ahmedabad, rammed into a truck from behind.
He said the bus had departed from Surat at around 11 pm and was on its way to Ahmedabad when it rear-ended a truck.
“Nine people were admitted to SSG Hospital, of which two were declared dead,” said Dr. Hitendra Chauhan, the resident medical officer. He added that five of the injured were discharged, while two suffered serious injuries, with one of them in critical condition.
