IIM Ahmedabad (IIMA) has partnered with FPSB India to launch an Executive Programme in Financial Planning and Investment Advisory Services. This collaboration highlights the growing importance of structured financial planning education in India.
Designed for mid-to-senior finance professionals, the one-year programme covers investment management, tax and retirement planning, estate and portfolio risk management, insurance, and alternative investments. It also focuses on regulatory frameworks, ethical standards, behavioural finance, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Krishan Mishra, CEO of FPSB India, called this a major step in advancing financial planning education, while Prof. Joshy Jacob of IIMA emphasized its role in economic development.
The programme follows a blended learning model with 84 weekend online sessions and 10 days of on-campus learning at IIMA. Participants will engage in case studies, industry interactions, and expert discussions. Graduates will receive IIMA ‘alumni’ status, enhancing their professional credentials.
Admissions opening in March 2025, this initiative is expected to shape the future of financial advisory services in India, setting new standards of professionalism and expertise in the industry.
