Indian airline Akasa Air has expanded its international network with the launch of daily direct flights connecting Ahmedabad and Abu Dhabi. The inaugural flight departed from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 10:45 PM, arriving at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi at 1:00 AM on the 2nd of March.

Flight QP 580 departs from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 10:45 PM and arrives at Abu Dhabi International Airport at 1:00 AM the following day. The return flight, QP 579, departs Abu Dhabi at 2:50 PM and arrives in Ahmedabad at 7:25 PM.
This new route, introduced under a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways, strengthens air connectivity between India and the UAE. With this addition, Akasa Air now operates 21 weekly flights to Abu Dhabi from three major Indian cities: Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad.
The airline’s expansion aligns with the increasing demand for travel between Gujarat and the Middle East, catering to both business and leisure passengers. The codeshare with Etihad Airways allows seamless onward connections from Abu Dhabi to global destinations, enhancing travel convenience for passengers.
