Tender also floated to install green nets, air coolers
T Municipal Corporation (AMC) has begun on a novel action plan to combat the excessive heat of summer. To combat the city’s severe temperatures, the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) has chosen to put white paint to the rooftops of its buses and has issued a tender for the purpose.
The tender also includes installing green nets, air coolers, and fans at city bus terminals. Its submissions are open till March 4.
AMTS chairman Dharamshi Desai said, “Once the tender is finalized, we will immediately start working on it.” AMC has also announced the introduction of AC AMTS buses in the recent budget.
