Gujarat University’s (GU) first attempt to open for the second admission cycle 2024-25 in February received a lacklustre reaction. At the end of the procedure on Sunday, only 109 students had registered in bachelor’s and master’s degree courses, with only 95 having paid the money required to complete the admission process.
This means only 2.15% seats have found takers if all 109 aspirants take admission in the colleges assigned as per the merit. GU officials had said that 5,059 seats in 14 courses offered by 48 affiliated colleges were up for the grab.
