Under ‘Archetype’, the institute challenged its 630 students to come up with unique ideas instead of taking a pen-and-paper exam.
The city’s LJ Institute of Management Studies has replaced its pen-and-paper test with entrepreneur-ship challenges known as ‘Archetype’. The competition required its 630 pupils to develop unique goods and solutions or to work on their family business for two months. At the end of the two months, the college showcased up to 120 entrepreneurial initiatives created by its students. The projects included nutritious millet snack options, organic and brown honey that might substitute sugar, programs to manage parking problems, cassava chips, and so on.
According to LJ officials, the students will now be evaluated for 150 points based on their projects rather than the typical pen and paper format exam for this required entrepreneurship course in Semester 2. Of the overall projects, 73 were about innovative ideas for the expansion of family companies and business solutions for diverse sectors such as organic cosmetic items, ready-made clothing, product manufacturing and export, and so on.
Twelve groups have now been selected for the grand finale in which they will get funding and incubation opportunities as well as Rs 30,000 prize money for winners. “LJ Institute of Management Studies started Archetype, a competition to promote entrepreneurship and a culture of innovative thinking among man agement students,” said Bilva Desai, one of the faculty members.
