Since the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) exams for classes 10 and 12 are about to commence from February 27, the schools have begun distributing the hall tickets to the students.
However, in Valsad, a school has been accused of asking for money for hall tickets.
The Swaminarayan School in Malanpada, Dharampur in Valsad, has been accused of collecting ₹2,500 for hall tickets from the students.
According to reports, officials from the education department rushed to the spot after the students of class 12 accused the school administrators of collecting ₹2500 for hall tickets and started a thorough investigation.
The authorities reportedly found that the school had collected the fees, and the school was later served a notice. The administration was also ordered to return the fees to the parents within two days.
