Bharuch youth nabbed for tearing cinema screen during Chhawa film

In a display of high emotion during the screening of the Bollywood film Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, a youth who was allegedly drunk got emotional and tore the screen.

The incident occurred at RK Cinema Talkies in Blueship Complex in the city on Sunday night. Jayesh Mohanbhai Vasava, who had come to watch the film, suddenly became agitated after watching the scene of Sambhaji Maharaj’s murder. He climbed onto the stage in front of the screen and started tearing it, even though other audience members tried to stop him. The manager of the theater immediately informed the Bharuch A Division Police, and the police team reached the spot promptly.

The accused, Jayesh Vasava, has been detained, and legal action is underway. During interrogation, Jayesh Vasava said that the scene showing the killing of Sambhaji Maharaj in the film Chhaava was not true, and that was why he got angry and tore the curtain near the fire extinguisher. Additionally, he abused the female staff of the cinema hall, threatened to break their legs by throwing the belt he was wearing, and kicked them, saying, “Get out of here, otherwise I will break your legs.”

A case has been registered against him, including under the provisions of the Prohibition Act, and legal action is underway.
