Direct metro service to Gandhinagar Starts from Feb 15

The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Ltd. has announced a direct metro train service to Gandhinagar. Starting February 15, 2025, metro trains will operate directly from the APMC to Sector-1 and Gift City.

The new development came after the GMRC received approval from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety to increase the frequency of metro trains between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. Now, passengers no longer need to change trains at the Motera Stadium or GNLU for Sector-1 and Gift City.

In addition, bus services will also be available at an interval of 30 minutes between the GNLU metro station and the Gift City offices, passing through the PDEU.

The last metro train from Gandhinagar will depart at 07:21 pm from Sector-1 Metro Station, reaching Motera at 08:16 pm. Similarly, the last metro train from the Gift City will depart at 06:55 pm, arriving at Motera at 07:38 pm.
