GMRC extends Ahmedabad Metro service timings on Feb 12 for India vs England match

In view of the upcoming one-day cricket match between India and England being organised at Narendra Modi Stadium on 12th February 2025, Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Ltd has decided to extend the metro train services in Ahmedabad on match day up to 00.00 hrs midnight with higher frequency.

On 12th February, metro trains will be available in Ahmedabad (from Motera to APMC and Thaltej Gam to Vastral Gam) every 8 minutes. For extended hours from 22.00 hrs to 00.00 hrs, metro trains will be available from Motera & Sabarmati (i.e., entry is permitted at Motera Stadium and Sabarmati Metro Station) only to any other metro stations in Ahmedabad (i.e., from Motera to APMC and Thaltej Gam to Vastral Gam). The last train departure timing will be 00.00 hrs midnight from Motera Station.

After 22:00 hrs, only special paper tickets will be allowed for entry from Motera & Sabarmati, which can be purchased at Nirant Cross Road, Apparel Park, Kalupur, Old High Court, Thaltej, Motera, Sabarmati, Ranip, Vadaj and Jivraj Metro Stations on that day in advance to avoid queuing at Motera while returning. It may be kindly noted that Metro train services between Motera Stadium and Gandhinagar will be as per the routine timetable only. Any ticket (QR / TOKEN) purchased for the return journey in advance from Kiosk, Token Vending Machine, Ticket Counters, or Mobile App will not be valid after 22:00 hrs.
