Udaipur MP Mannalal Rawat has expressed gratitude to the Railway Board for advancing the proposal to launch the Vande Bharat train between Udaipur and Asarwa. Rawat remains optimistic that the service will commence shortly, enhancing regional connectivity and convenience for travelers.
The MP had actively advocated for this demand in the Parliament and had personally met with the Railway Minister, submitting a formal request. He had emphasized the need for better rail connectivity between Udaipur and Ahmedabad via the Vande Bharat train. Additionally, he proposed renaming the Asarwa-Jaipur train as “Mangadh Dham Express” and requested new Vande Bharat services to Indore and Surat from Udaipur.
As per the initial plans, the Western Railway, Mumbai, has already begun outlining the schedule for the Udaipur-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat service. The train is anticipated to operate six days a week, excluding Tuesdays.
Proposed Schedule:
Departure from Udaipur: 6:10 AM
Arrival at Asarwa: 10:25 AM
Intermediate Stop: Himmatnagar
Return from Asarwa: 5:45 PM
Arrival at Udaipur: 10:00 PM
This semi-high-speed train is set to provide a much-needed boost to travel efficiency and convenience, reducing travel time significantly between the two cities.
