head of the Class 10 board A exams in February, a total of 48,525 students from 576 schools in the city will appear in the GSHSEB pre-board exams beginning Saturday. The exams will end on January 24. As many as 5,900 students from 59 English medium schools, 27,685 from 319 Gujarati medium schools and 14.940 students from 196 Hindi medium schools will take the exams.
A total of 42,096 students from 624 schools in rural areas will take the exams, including 8,088 students from English medium schools, 31,588 students from Gujarati medium schools and 2,420 students from Hindi medium schools.
The exam will be conducted for key subjects such as English, Gujarati, Mathematics (Basic and Standard), Science and Technology, and Social Science. Rohit Chaudhari, Ahmedabad City DEO, said, “The pre-board examination will provide Class 10 students with an opportunity to experience the board exam process. It will help alleviate board exam-related stress.”
