With high demand during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, IndiGo will launch direct flight services between Ahmedabad and Prayagraj. The budget airline will begin the direct flight service between the two cities on January 28.
However, according to the airline’s website, this flight service will not be available daily for now. It will operate on January 28 and 29, as well as on select dates in February. The direct flights will operate on the 1st, 4th, 5th, 11th, 13th, 24th, 25th, 27th, and 28th.
The flight will depart from Ahmedabad at 11:20 AM and land in Prayagraj at 1:10 PM, with a total flight time of 1 hour and 50 minutes. On the return journey, the flight will depart from Prayagraj at 2:00 PM and land at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in Ahmedabad at 3:55 PM.
Due to high demand during the Mahakumbh period, flight tickets for this route have reached up to ₹30,000 for a one-way trip, whereas the regular price is around ₹6,500.
SpiceJet, on the other hand, has already begun operating flights between the two cities. The service, which started on January 12, will continue until February 28. The daily flight departs from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 8:10 AM and arrives in Prayagraj at 9:55 AM. The return flight takes off from Prayagraj at 4:30 PM and lands in Ahmedabad at 6:45 PM.
Additionally, SpiceJet will offer extra flights on January 25 and 29. These flights will depart Ahmedabad at 5:35 AM, reaching Prayagraj by 7:20 AM. The return flight, SG382, will depart from Prayagraj at 8:00 AM and arrive in Ahmedabad by 9:50 AM.
