143 kite flyers from 47 countries and 417 from state to participate in the festival
The International Kite Festival T 2025 will take place in Gujarat from January 11 to 14. The festival, organised by the Gujarat Tourism Corporation, will begin with an inauguration ceremony on January 11 at 9 a.m. at the Vallabh Sadan Riverfront in Ahmedabad. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Tourism Minister Mulu Ayar Bera, and other dignitaries will attend the occasion.
This year, the festival will also be celebrated at various locations across Gujarat, including the Statue of Unity (Ekta Nagar), Rajkot and Vadodara on January 12. On January 13, the festival will be held in Surat, Shivrajpur, and Dhordo.
A total of 143 kite flyers from 47 countries will participate in the festi- val, along with 52 kite flyers from 11 states in India. Additionally, 417 kite flyers from 11 cities in Gujarat will join the festivities.
The opening event will feature a cultural programme, the Aditya Stuti Vandana by Rishikumars and a parade of international and national kite flyers. Visitors can also enjoy night kite flying, cultural performances, kite workshops, and various stalls offering handicrafts and refreshments.
